#NoWarDividesUs – PROTEST RALLY ON INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

On March 8, International Women’s Day, we will amplify the voices of women speaking out against the war in Ukraine. Under the slogan #NoWarDividesUs, we are joining forces with the initiative #LeaveNoOneBehind to call for a protest rally in front of the Russian Embassy in Berlin. Our rally is about peace, freedom, and self-determination – in Ukraine, in Russia, and in all parts of the world where power-hungry despots gamble with human lives and trample on human rights! We won’t forget: on both sides, many reject this war. It’s about people who have nothing to gain but everything to lose in Putin’s war — in Ukraine as well as in Russia. The situation painfully reminds us of other wars and conflicts from the past 15 years – like those in Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

VIDEO CALL TO ACTION FOR THE PROTEST ON INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

As an organization founded in the aftermath of the Yazidi genocide, we strongly condemn this war – a war that is especially devastating for Ukrainian women and children. We fear not only that the relentless bombings by the Russian army are killing countless civilians, but also that rape is being used as a weapon of war, just as it was during the Yazidi genocide at the hands of the terrorist organization Daesh.

Join us on March 8 at 11 a.m. for our protest rally in front of the Russian Embassy in Berlin, Unter den Linden 63–65! Let’s raise our voices together and be loud — so that, hopefully, the weapons will soon fall silent!
