HÁWAR.help e.V. is a human rights organization founded on the ashes of the Yazidi genocide. We raise our voice when human rights crimes are committed. Today, we implement development and education programs in Iraq, Afghanistan and Germany, as well as international awareness-raising and education initiatives and political work – including the revolution in Iran.
Our projects are always designed and implemented on a multi-ethnic and multi-religious basis. With HÁWAR.help, we bring people into dialogue with each other and open up spaces for exchange through our projects, rallies and discussion events – locally and digitally, both nationally and internationally. Our human rights association stands for the effort to create a world in which every person, regardless of gender, ethnicity or faith, can develop in a self-determined and safe manner. Together, we are shaping a future characterized by humanity, solidarity, gender equality and compassion.
HÁWAR.help carries the peacock’s eye in its lettering, a symbol of the Yazidis that stands for attention and protection. We direct this peacock’s eye towards human rights violations worldwide. We stand for:
HÁWAR.help stands for a peaceful and just world in which the universality of human rights is respected: Every person should be able to develop in self-determination and safety.
Founded on the ashes of a genocide, we want to live humanity and give hope. The greatest pain, the genocide of the Yazidis, became a decision in favour of the fight for human rights – and thus a force field. Vulnerability became an organisation: HÁWAR.help.
Today, we implement education and development projects in Iraq, Afghanistan and Germany and work to raise awareness of international crises (e.g., Iran).
