IRAN – OUR WORK
HÁWAR.help has accompanied and supported the feminist revolution in Iran from the very beginning and sees itself as an amplifier of the freedom movement for human and women’s rights in Iran. It is precisely for these rights that we advocate internationally and condemn the terrible actions of the regime in Iran, which violates and disregards these rights every day. Our work in supporting the people in Iran focuses on four key areas:
HÁWAR.help has supported and accompanied the feminist revolution in Iran from the very beginning, positioning itself as an ally and an advocate for the freedom movement and for human and women’s rights in Iran. We stand up for these very rights internationally and strongly condemn the horrific actions of the regime in Iran, which violates and disregards these rights every single day. Our efforts to support the people of Iran focuses on four main areas:
- We formulate political demands to promote democracy and human rights – always non-partisan and in an open manner. We maintain close contact with many people from the Iranian diaspora in Germany, hold discussions, and ensure that the demands of the people and the diaspora are heard by political decision-makers.
- We provide background information, report on current developments, and often do this faster and in more detail than traditional news outlets. We see it as our duty to inform people in Germany about the rapidly unfolding events in Iran.
- We organize campaigns and demonstrations to mobilize support for the Iranian revolution. We connect individuals and organizations that want to support people in Iran and the diaspora, amplifying their voices and extending their reach.
- We operate a sponsorship program for political prisoners in Iran who are facing execution or have been sentenced to lengthy prison terms.
